Nevada Science Olympiad Virtual 2022 Competition

Good morning. Please see the message below on behalf of the Nevada Science Olympiad Board. Please note, questions should be directed to support@nevadaso.org.


The Nevada Science Olympiad board is seeking qualified event supervisors for the 2022 Virtual Nevada State Tournament to be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022.


Below is a list of the events and times that are still in need of event supervisors.


Interested teachers should send an email to support@nevadaso.org by Wednesday, March 9, 2022, and include:

  • Contact information,

  • Event preference/availability,

  • Disclosure of any affiliation to a competing team that may be viewed as a conflict of interest. 


Those that email their interest and are approved by the Nevada Science Olympiad Tournament Director will receive additional information to register as an event supervisor. CCSD teachers will receive extra duty pay of 8 hours for each event supervised.


Approximate Time Allocations:

  • 1 hour to review rules (provided once confirmed as an Event Supervisor).

  • 3 hours to prepare the event exam and enter it into the NVSO platform by March 21, 2022.

  • 4 hours proctoring the event, grading the tests, and turning in the final scores on Saturday, March 26, 2022.

  • Crave the Wave

Division C

  • Code Busters 


Time - 9:10 AM to 10:00 AM

Division B

  • Meteorology


Time - 10:20 AM to 11:10 AM

Division C

  • Green Generation


Time - 11:30 AM to 12:20 PM

Division B

  • Bio Process Lab 

Division C

  • Wifi


Time - 12:40 PM to 1:30 PM

Division B

  • Road Scholar


Time - 1:50 PM to 2:40 PM

Division C

  • Environmental Chemistry
